Greece and
particularly Athens may be in crisis but
we believe in a future for Greek and
international artists living in, working in and visiting this amazing country
and its capital, the city of Athens. It
is exactly at times like these that the imagination is put to the test. For us there are no new or young business
opportunities, shops close weekly
leaving empty spaces full of diminishing hope.
As we look around and take in
these scenes that the world shares with us, a surge of energy and determination builds
up inside growing stronger day by day. We do not want the people of Greece or the world to see this beautiful city and country labelled as
finished – it is not – on the contrary it is very much alive. We need help
to prove just that and support to realise this project which is vibrant, exciting and
full of hope.
The Athens International Arts Association will offer artists from
all disciplines a chance to link up, meet up, exchange ideas, develop careers, make
friends, work together and, develop a future beyond the chaos and
disappointment we are entrenched with because
of an out of control economic mess. Positivity and Hope are driving us on and
we need your support to help us achieve this project. The result will be an amazing global internet Arts arena
and venue in Athens, where we can realise
our projects and exhibitions, develop our professional partnerships and international
contacts and move forward together to a
brighter future.
